Phototastic

Soooooo I didn't take any pics in Key West because i don't own a digital camera and i didn't want to fight with mom over using hers. I was able to snag it on the way out to catch a pic of the water at Bahia Honda state park.

It was pretty cloudy our entire trip, so the water here isn't at vibrant as it should be, but man, when it's clear, it's gorgeous. I could really live in Florida.

We took two cars down to FL, my car and the truck, wich was also carrying the motorcyle. We dropped the truck off at my grandfather's house in Ft. Pierce and then dad rode all the way down to KW and we followed in the car. Which was fine. Except people in West Palm Beach and Miami can't drive for SHIT.

So on the way back up after stopping at Ft. Pierce, Dad, Hannah and Rach went back in the truck and mom and I took my car so we'd be able to go to St. Augustine. We'd been there when i was 18, but i really didn't remember much about it, so we went again. And it was ACTUALLY SUNNY. Go figure.

There's a lot of gorgeous architecture in that area, it being the oldest U.S. city and all. My mom had been all about Henry Flager and his building of the railroad that "crossed the ocean!" and went down to KW, so she was also excited to visit the Ponce De Leon hotel in St. A., which he built as one of the first fancy FL resorts in (i think...) the '20s. It's now Flagler College and it's quite fabulous.

This is the courtyard you walk through when you first enter.

This was above the center of the ridiculously mosaic-tiled entrance into the main foyer area. I'm really glad the colors came out so well with the digi cam.

This is Lt. Dan! I can't figure out how to reimage the pic so you can see him more closely, but you get the idea. He was just hanging outside one of the shops in the Old Spanish Quarter of St. A. After i took the pic these two tweens walked by and were like, "Look! Lit Dan!" Kids.

And oh, look, here are the Panthers discussing how they're going to lose the game against the Cowboys during a timeout. Fantastic.
